World History: In the beginning, the Earth was you…

Universal History: In the beginning, the Earth was a complete mess; making it more habitable was a real struggle. There were no bridges to cross the rivers. There were no paths to climb the mountains. Fancied a sit-down? Not even a trace of a stool. Did you fall asleep? There were no beds. To avoid pricking your feet, there were neither shoes nor boots. If your eyesight was poor, you couldn’t find any glasses. To play a game, there were no balls: there was no pot or fire to cook the macaroni – in fact, come to think of it, there wasn’t even any pasta. There was absolutely nothing. Zero times zero, and that’s it. There were only people, with two arms to work with, and the biggest mistakes could be put right. There are still plenty left to correct, though: roll up your sleeves, there’s work for everyone!
