When my son was born, a magical being began to visit us. A wild creature, with a particular fondness for avocados and a delight in licking the spirulina pool. One night, whilst I was alone by the fire, it came very close to me. Feeling a little apprehensive, I decided to stroke it. Suddenly, it burst out laughing – a loud, boisterous laugh that made my heart freeze. I didn’t know much about these beings and thought that laughter was a threat, when in fact it was simply its way of communicating. Sensing my fear, the creature also became frightened and vanished into the darkness. However, after that night, she came back to visit me many times. In time, having lost my fear, I would respond to her laughter with my own, and our nights by the fire were filled with joy and roars of laughter. We laughed together by the fire like old friends, beneath the starry canopy of the sky. Then it introduced me to the community of wild boars, but that’s a story for another time…
