An infinite number of straight lines pass through a single point. Only one straight line passes through two points. Even seven bridges are spanned by a single straight line, along which cars travel in one direction, respecting the right of way of those who claim it. Beneath the straight line formed by the seven bridges, a mountain ridge and even a river may pass, but never in a straight line. Rivers and ridges never follow a straight line, and every bridge is the centre of the universe.
