When I broke free from the tyranny of the Meaning of Life…

When I cast off the tyranny of the ‘meaning of life’ and embraced the freedom of the absurd, I realised that what is permitted is whatever I wish it to be

    CaCoin: A Cryptocurrency for Children
    Chapter One – Mining Technique

CaCoin is a cryptocurrency designed for children, in which Yun, the main character, is responsible for mining it. To earn CaCoins, Yun must solve maths problems of increasing difficulty, tailored to his ability, so that it takes him approximately 15 minutes to complete them. He writes these calculations by hand on a digital image. Each corrected and signed sheet of calculations is worth one CaCoin.

At present, the value of a CaCoin is 1:1 with a video game service I provide. In other words, 1 CaCoin = 15 minutes of playtime in Minetest, an open-source clone of Minecraft, where we are building a virtual democratic school.

The value of CaCoin is generated by the effort Yun puts into solving the problems, which limits its supply over time. I act as an intermediary, converting CaCoin into a real service (in this case, playtime). When I accept a CaCoin note, I record it on a ‘blockchain’ – an unalterable digital ledger where I also keep track of the balance in each wallet.

Furthermore, I am the speculator for this cryptocurrency. Currently, I store all the CaCoins mined by Yun in my wallet, hoping they will increase in value or that someone will accept them in exchange for services. However, the real value that is growing is Yun’s ability to solve calculations, which I consider to be the most important investment as a futures speculator.

Under a generous sky, the puddles turn into…

Beneath a generous sky, the puddles become tiny universes of life, where biodiversity flourishes like a damp, fertile dream. It is marvellous to watch how the species, in a silent and harmonious dance, come together to make the most of the sodden earth and the sun’s caresses. Over the years, organic matter accumulates like a dark treasure, transforming the earth around the puddles into a black, spongy blanket – a bed that cradles the expansion of the native forest. In the green corridors, guided by seeping water, permanent networks of mycelium are woven – invisible threads that bind ravines and forests in an eternal embrace. These threads are like veins that beat in secret, connecting life in an underground murmur. Native forests are not mere plants in a nursery; they are symphonies of life, intricate and ancient, which have taken centuries to adapt to their home. They are the living memory of the earth, a legacy that whispers stories of resilience, adaptation and beauty. The freest seeds—those that have escaped the hand of man—I have found in the ravines, hidden like wild jewels. Watering these lands is like summoning the flora and fauna of the ravines, calling upon them to spread out towards the exposed slopes, where the sun and wind await them to begin anew.

Ciclostile, a nomadic art collective, was born in 2008 on the terrace of a house in Amsterdam. The fusion between bikes, travel and street art is fertile. We will arrive in Italy three months later, skinny and happy.

    Public, not social!
They are public media, public platforms. “Social” is what happens in a public space. The internet? A vast, virtual agora. Some connect, others share, many listen. But this is no mere stage for ego—it’s a shared commons.
Yet, beware: this digital polis is not ours. It’s shaped by algorithms, owned by corporations. Their goals? Attention, profit, control. What you see is curated, what you feel, manipulated. The public square has become a marketplace, and our voices? Data points. But we can reclaim it! Share not for clicks, but for connection. Post not for vanity, but for community. The Greeks knew: the public sphere is sacred. It’s where democracy breathes, where trust is built.
So, let’s tread wisely. Question what you see. Share what matters, what heals, what unites. Because here, in this fragile agora, we are all citizens. Let’s make it a space worth belonging to.

As the fever goes down I can say: You are never…

As the fever goes down I can say: You are never alone. Scientifically speaking too, this is a recent discovery for the human being. You cannot be alone in a universe where the field of every particle follows through infinity. You may feel that you are far away from your entangled loved one, but paradoxically, the farther away you feel, the more sensitive you are to entanglement, and the more connected your centre is, very close to the centres of others. Sometimes you can try to get very close to what you love, but fiscally this increases the noise, so you cannot understand clearly. So, this little atom, lost far away from all the galaxies and stars, floating without attraction at absolute zero temperature, is the one who knows how big the party really is. It is united with and influenced by all the matter in the universe and can feel it more clearly than its brother living inside a star, stripped of its electrons, dancing within the intensity in the stellar plasma of a single truth.
