By definition, the word ‘family’ refers to the basic unit of human society. The family is the home of the heart; it is like the branches of a tree that grow in different directions, yet their roots remain one and the same.

The Umbrians were an ancient Italic people who spoke an Indo-European language belonging to the Oscan-Umbrian group; they lived in an area which, in classical times, stretched from the upper and middle Tiber valley to the Adriatic Sea. They were primarily engaged in agriculture and livestock farming, but their craftsmanship was also highly developed: weapons, bracelets, rings, brooches made of bronze and iron, and pottery were among the goods they produced and sold to neighbouring peoples. This people were characterised by the Umbrian language, originally written using their own alphabet of Etruscan derivation, which was later replaced by the Latin alphabet, and by their practice of inhumation. Describing their origins, Pliny the Elder states:
(LA)
‘The Umbrian people are considered the most ancient in Italy; indeed, it is thought that the Greeks called them ‘Ombri’, because they had survived the great floods. It is recorded that the Etruscans conquered three hundred of their towns.’
(IT)
‘The Umbrian people are considered the oldest in Italy; indeed, it is believed that the Umbrians were called Ombrici by the Greeks because they are said to have survived the rains when the land was flooded. It is recorded that the Etruscans subjugated three hundred Umbrian cities.’
Under the Etruscans, they experienced an economic expansion around the 7th century BC, which led this people from a nomadic and communal way of life, centred in villages consisting of huts (pre-urban period) situated in the foothills of the Apennines and on high ground (with hilltop settlements), to an urban way of life consisting of large fortified settlements (Totae), established in fertile areas traversed by major trade routes.

Good morning, would you be so kind as to create an image for a software startup that deals with decoding of biological parameters of plants in the field of research on local anomalies of the entropy field. The name is banasoft, the logo a banaba flower and the location on the island of banaba. I would like if it could be very elegant and simple, playing a bit with blurring some image in the background. Thank you very much, I wish you a day full of new ways to combine your parameters.

A collective server network could provide the connective tissue to sustain the various individual software and data bubbles. On the other hand, I do believe that it is important to begin to conceive of computation as an effective form of energy storage. The result of long calculations, the solution to the problem, is itself the concentrate of this energy, as if it were a charged battery or a piece of wood that has stored the sun’s energy by building up an intricate latticework of atoms to form cellulose. In this case, however, we are not talking about the conventional energy we are accustomed to and which does not escape the laws of thermodynamics, but rather, about energy produced, stored and transmitted through the field of entropy. Every calculation, whether made in one’s head or calculated by a supercomputer, leaves its imprint on entropy, slightly disordering the wonderful universal chaos. Often when I install a photovoltaic system, I summarily calculate the millions of watts the plates produce that will not be used because the batteries are full and no one is home. Wouldn’t it be great if each of these installations had its own little server ready to turn excess electricity into computing power? Maybe connected to a decentralised network, an honest and immutable blockchain to calculate together with all the other servers our impact in the chaos. I would like to set up a solar VPS hosting in the Alpujarras. I’ve been hacking for a couple of years with the kids in a school near Orgiva. We plan to set up a solar server there next year.

‘A sea bear has twenty-seven lives. I shall recount thirteen and a half of my lives in this book. As for the rest, however, I shall remain silent. Even a bear is entitled to certain dark sides: they make it more interesting and mysterious.’

I think a dream like that will never come back
I used to paint my hands and face blue
Then suddenly I’d be swept away by the wind
And I’d start flying through the endless skyFlying, oh, oh
Singing, oh, oh
In the blue painted blue
Happy to be up there
