Órgiva
24 August 2022Yun joined Sol de la Aurora in September 2021, and throughout the school year I could see how he was brimming with creativity, able to invent games and create spaces using simple items from his surroundings.
He was the oldest in the class, and he took his role as a good example to the younger children very seriously, helping them when necessary and cultivating his patience and tolerance.
He is a kind-hearted boy who shows compassion towards everything around him: nature, animals and people, and that purity is reflected in his eyes.
He has a great ability to listen and reflect when things are explained to him, and to change his attitudes and behaviour for the good of the group and himself.
His gross motor skills and physical dexterity are extraordinary to watch. His fine motor skills are also well developed, as can be seen in the way he holds a sewing needle and in his drawings, amongst other things.
There are situations that frustrate him greatly, such as things he considers unfair or when he sometimes doesn’t get what he wants; in such cases, he simply withdraws for a moment until he’s over it. After a few minutes, he rejoins the group and carries on with what he was doing.
Yun will undoubtedly be a great asset to whichever group he joins, and I hope that Banana Mountain will be his next school home.
Kind regards,
Isabel Castro

In geometry, a zonohedron is a convex polyhedron that is centrally symmetric, every face of which is a polygon that is centrally symmetric (a zonogon). Any zonohedron may equivalently be described as the Minkowski sum of a set of line segments in three-dimensional space, or as a three-dimensional projection of a hypercube. Zonohedra were originally defined and studied by E. S. Fedorov, a Russian crystallographer. More generally, in any dimension, the Minkowski sum of line segments forms a polytope known as a zonotope.
