Love and Quantum Entanglement (anonymous)
At the end of dinner she said to him: ‘Tell me something nice!’.
He answered her by writing on a handkerchief: ‘(∂ + m) ψ = 0’.
The light from the candles she had placed on the table dimly illuminated the equation. She approached confused and asked, ‘What is this?’
He smiled smugly at her: ‘It is the formula for entanglement, quantum entanglement! If two systems interact with each other for a certain amount of time and then are separated, they can no longer be described as two separate systems, but become one system… just like us.’
She smiled back, blushing. She stood up and took an extension cord from a piece of furniture. She approached him, murmuring persuasively in his ear, ‘Close your eyes’.
He looked at the cable and obeyed, a dumb smile on his face, ‘Do you have… particular tastes?’ he asked.
In response she quickly wrapped the extension cord around his neck and said, ‘Untangle yourself from this!’
The boy tried to free himself but to no avail. The extension cord was frayed and myriads of sharp copper wires were sticking into his flesh like so many pins. Each attempt wound him more and more tightly to the wire.
The girl finished tying him up and said: ‘First, the equation is all wrong. There goes a minus in front of the mass, the imaginary quantity in front of the derivative, and the derivative is cut off: (i∂̸-m)ψ=0′. He took a wooden ladle and hit him on the head!
